How to modify your fob to fit an AH blank

* If you would like to send me your fob I can insert the blank for an additional $15.

In order to make the AH blank properly fit in the fob, the fob must be modified slightly.

To insert the blank in the fob:

1. Open the key half way and you will see a roll pin. You can use a small allen or nail to knock it out.

2. Insert AH key blank in the fob and knock the roll pin back in.

3. Each fob and roll pin may fit differently, so some blanks may have a tiny bit of side to side play. If yours does, remove the pin and put a small piece of tape on the end of the key blank and reinsert.

4. The key blank will not close fully just yet, see step 6.

5. Go to Walmart, Home Depot, or your local locksmith to have the key cut to match your original. If the person cutting the key says it is it big to fit in the machine, simply take the top part of the fob apart.

To make the key blank fit properly:

6. This can be done with a dremel. See picture bellow. I suggest that you insert the key blank first, go get it cut to match your key, then modify the fob. The circled areas bellow shows where the fob needs to be filled down in order for the blank to sit inside the area.
